IT Project Manager - Pittsburgh, PA

Location: Sheetz Corporate - PITTSBURGH, PA

All team members are remote due to the pandemic, keeping our employees safe is most important to us. After we transition back to office work when it's safe, we do have the option for remote work arrangements for candidates living within our 6 state footprint.

 

What you’ll do:

Provides project management services and supports major (cross functional) initiatives as deemed appropriate, and provides ongoing support and program management to Key Vendors. Takes ideas from inception, through development, creates and manages the project plan and implementation process, and ultimately ensures delivery of the solution.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (other duties may be assigned)

  1. Responsible for guiding one or more larger scale projects throughout the Project Lifecycle:
    • Defining Stories
    • Prioritizing the Team Backlog (within release) to streamline the execution of program priorities
    • Maintaining the conceptual and technical integrity of the Features or components for the team
  2. Guides work flow of assigned teams to ensure that the Project Process is followed; that documentation is gathered, written, and published as needed. Works with IT and Business Units to resolve problems as they arise.
  3. Manage projects to meet or exceed customer satisfaction, schedule, and budget.
  4. Lead maintenance / improvement / refinement / new development projects as assigned.
  5. Possess in-depth knowledge of Sheetz PM tools, and of the methods the tools support.
  6. Provide project management advice and counsel to less experienced project management personnel.
  7. Perform assignments independently, with instructions from management, limited to results expected.
  8. Inform management of progress as scheduled and/or on a need-to-know basis.
  9. Balances resources, schedules, and financial factors while solving problems with a multi-discipline approach.
  10. Owner of all User Stories for the IT team
  11. Work with their IT team to define the User Stories


 

Experience you’ll bring: 

REQUIREMENTS: (Equivalent combinations of education, licenses, certifications and/or experience may be considered)

Education

  • A four-year degree in Management Information Systems, Engineering, Organizational Leadership or an applicable Business area; or a four year degree in another field of study which includes courses in information systems, engineering, leadership, and business is preferred.

Experience

  • 5 years of applicable experience in a technology environment.

Licenses/Certifications

  • PMP or similar certification is preferred.
