Supply Chain Industrial Engineer II

Location: Sheetz Distribution Services - Claysburg, PA

Schedule: This position is a hybrid role where you are expected to be onsite at our office in Claysburg 3 days per week and can work 2 days remotely. 

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THIS POSITION:

Analyze opportunities and develop methodologies to minimize cost, improve labor productivity, and improve equipment and systems utilization and serve as an unbiased analyst to Sheetz Distribution Services.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (other duties may be assigned)

1. Analyze procedures, equipment, layout, and distribution network design to identify improvements that impact space and equipment utilization, process flow, and worker/driver productivity.  Facilitate the development and implementation of the design and justification of new equipment or facilities to improve processes.
2. Manage complex business impact projects within Sheetz Distribution Services.
3. Perform analyses and time studies as necessary based upon new product introductions or updated processes and use the data collected to update standards or procedures.
4. Analyze processes to calculate operating expenses to accurately determine cost-to-serve.  Develop tools to evaluate product level profitability and supply chain efficiency.
5. Assist in developing and reporting performance measures for all levels to use in monitoring business processes to ensure the implementation and maintenance of the most efficient supply chain possible. 
6. Create or maintain metrics and advanced reporting to identify improvement opportunities and drive decisions..
7. Manage the efficient implementation of other assigned projects.
8. Suggest and support changes to configuration and utilization of distribution management systems to enhance productivity, equipment, and facility utilization.

REQUIREMENTS: (Equivalent combinations of education, licenses, certifications and/or experience may be considered)

The education, experience and license/certification requirements represent the MINIMUM requirements necessary to perform the functions of this position successfully.

Education

• 4 year degree in Industrial Engineering or related field required

Experience

• 3 years of experience in Industrial Engineering or related field required
