Social Media Coordinator

Location: Sheetz Corporate - Claysburg, PA



The primary function of this position is growing and managing the Sheetz online social presence. Primary focus will be to serve as the Community Liaison for various online communities and nurture relationships with our customers while protecting and strengthening the Sheetz brand. Will also play a role as expert of best practices and trends in social media marketing, enjoy being creative, and understand how to build and convert a digital audience.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (other duties may be assigned)

  1. Monitors all user-generated activity on each social media platform on a daily basis to ensure timely and accurate responses to questions or concerns that may arise from consumers.
  2. Serves as brand evangelist by actively engaging with all conversations relating to our brand in the social space using the voice of the brand, while also seeking out opportunities for further organic fan growth.
  3. Supports and Grows our online community through continuing engagement and best practices on each social platform (including, but not limited to: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, YouTube, Reddit, Twitch, and Tik Tok).
  4. Displays excellent customer care and support for consumers with inquiries or concerns via each social platform.
  5. Works alongside the Social Media Manager and strategic social media partners to develop relatable content ideas and copywriting that our fan base will engage with, in order to maximize engagement.
  6. Implements day-to-day social media strategies and tools.
  7. Assists in the planning and coordination of online social media programs or contests in order to maximize results and achieve objectives.
  8. Develops and presents ideas, strategies and workflows relating to the social media realm in a clear and concise manner.
  9. Responsible for publishing and monitoring current content on each of the social media platforms where Sheetz is present.
  10. Tracks effectiveness of individual posts to identify the best opportunities for engagement based on the response from our customers.
  11. Demonstrates impeccable communication skills, high attention to detail, and decision-making abilities that will be required as part of the everyday demands of this position.

REQUIREMENTS: (Equivalent combinations of education, licenses, certifications and/or experience may be considered)


  • High School degree required
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism or related field required



  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in social media communications for a large scale business or related experience required
  • Experience with social media software like Sprout Social, Hootsuite, Sprinkler, or similar is preferred
