Senior Administrative Assistant - Food Safety & Quality Assurance

Location: Sheetz Corporate - Claysburg, PA



Provide administrative support to the Food Safety Quality Assurance Department.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (other duties may be assigned)

  1. Provide Food Safety reports weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly basis as requested by the Director of Food Safety & Quality Assurance.
  2. Provide technical support by implementing changes to software as deemed necessary by upper management staff.
  3. Maintain and update the Food Safety documents on in all systems.
  4. Assist in obtaining food safety certificates to ensure that all stores are in compliance with state and government food safety regulations.
  5. Maintain accurate records and provide summary reports of government health inspections.
  6. Respond to Service Desk Calls that pertain to food safety certificates, government health inspections or reward program and keep track of calls for the entire Food Safety department on a monthly basis.
  7. Perform general office duties such as preparing PowerPoint presentations, processing invoices, scheduling meetings, answering phones, assisting with new employee hires, and photocopying.
  8. Order and maintain a monthly record of supplies ordered for the Food Safety Department.
  9. Provide additional support to the Food Safety Department as deemed necessary.

REQUIREMENTS: (Equivalent combinations of education, licenses, certifications and/or experience may be considered)


  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Bachelors Degree in Food Science or related field preferred.



  • Minimum 2 years administrative work experience required
  • Food Safety Training experience preferred
  •  Understanding of Food Safety Assessments (FDA, HCAPP, USDA, etc.) preferred
  • Experience with basic accounting (receivables, payables, etc.) preferred
  • Intermediate skill level in MS Excel, Powerpoint, and Tableau preferred
  • Experience maintaining calendars in Outlook preferred
  • Experience processing timecards for a team preferred



  • ServSafe required within 6 months of hire
  • Basic HACCP preferred
