SDS Ordering Supervisor

Location: Sheetz Distribution Services - Claysburg, PA



Responsible for assisting with the supervision and day-to-day management of all processes associated with SDS order processing. Support the Ordering/Replenishment Manager in day-to-day responsibilities including analyzing data on replenishment systems, manage technicians on execution of processing orders, and provide support to stakeholders.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (other duties may be assigned)
  1. Assist the Ordering Team / Replenishment Manager in maximizing the development of internal talent though regular performance coaching, performance reviews, and presenting developmental opportunities.
  2. Support design and development of processes / procedures to continuously improve order processing and replenishment.
  3. Support training and management of Ordering Technicians and Ordering Analysts on the use of Retalix, 6E, ERP, and Pentaho systems to ensure accurate / timely execution of all order processing, analysis, and customer support.
  4. Provide follow up support to stores, DM’s, SDS Store Services personnel, SDS Ops, SDS Transportation, and Marketing personnel.
  5. Support daily management of order creation of retail orders from the POS system incorporating strategic elements of store level needs coupled with SDS efficiencies. Support evaluation and adjustments of replenishment strategy on an ongoing basis to account for environmental factors impacting retail sales including seasonality, weather, community events, holidays, and individual store needs.
  6. Support the development and maintenance of all training materials related to DC SDS store replenishment.
  7. React and provide support to various situations involving order processing on a 24/7 basis.

REQUIREMENTS: (Equivalent combinations of education, licenses, certifications and/or experience may be considered)

  • High School Degree required
  • Associate’s degree in a related business field preferred
  • Minimum of two years Supervisory or related experience required
  • 1 year related experience in supply chain or systems management required.
