Fresh Food Team Member I - Sanitation Technician (2nd shift)

Location: Sheetz Distribution Services - Claysburg, PA

Level: 2 



Create and maintain a hygienic area for food processing by the disassembly, cleaning and sanitizing of food production equipment. Follow Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures to complete cleaning of food processing equipment and processing areas of the facility to meet food safety and quality assurance standards.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (other duties may be assigned)

  1. Bakery Production – Clean, sanitize, visually inspect and assemble bakery equipment.
  2. COP – Clean processing aids, tools and complete required chemical checks.
  3. RTE Production Lines – Clean, sanitize, visually inspect and assemble RTE Equipment.
  4. Fryer Filtering – Filtering of shortening from donut fryers.
  5. Fryer Boil out – Intensified cleaning of the donut fryers.
  6. Non Production and Production Infrastructure – Facility cleaning (walls, ceilings, floors, pillars, vents, lights, etc.)
  7. Common Areas – Clean and sanitize common areas



REQUIREMENTS: (Equivalent combinations of education, licenses, certifications and/or experience may be considered)


  • High School Diploma/GED preferred


  • No experience required
  • Cleaning or sanitation experience preferred


  • None required
