Location: Sheetz Corporate - Claysburg, PA



Prepare architectural construction drawings and assist in the design for various Sheetz projects such as, but not limited to: New Stores, Remodels, Brand Refreshes, Special Projects, and Roll-Outs. Coordinate drawings with internal personnel and outside consultants such as Architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, structural, and civil engineers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (other duties may be assigned)
  1. Maximize the development of internal talent through regular performance coaching, performance reviews and presenting developmental opportunities.
  2. Complete two and three-dimensional architectural drawings for a variety of projects to include but not limited to, floor plans, dimension plans, interior and exterior elevations, sections, equipment plan, finish plan, product plan, door and window schedules, and any other architectural drawings necessary for a construction package.
  3. Complete Sign Drawings to be used in obtaining permits and store projects.
  4. Review department produced drawings for accuracy.
  5. Contact Municipalities where construction projects will occur to assist in identifying permitting requirements (including Codes and Ordinances) to be indicated on drawings and on formwork.
  6. Incorporate produced drawings in the current Department Server filing system.
  7. Complete construction documents for miscellaneous projects as defined by the Store Design Manager.
  8. Coordinate with internal personnel and outside consultants as required to prepare store drawings in order to meet changing sales and construction standards.
  9. Produce and maintain Field Orders and RFIs for the Construction Department.
  10. Support the Store Design Manager in the daily operation of the Store Design Department.

REQUIREMENTS: (Equivalent combinations of education, licenses, certifications and/or experience may be considered)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from an accredited university required.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an architectural environment with graduating levels of responsibilities, including retail experience
  • Registered architect license (or be in testing) along with NCARB certification. NCARB may be obtained within one year after being hired. Must also obtain professional registration in all states where Sheetz operates within two years of employment
