Graphic Designer II

Location: Sheetz Corporate - Pittsburgh, PA

 

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THIS POSITION:

Provide creative concept development and Graphic Design execution for all internal and external creative projects to achieve continuity of quality design that reflects the look and feel of the brand across all channels.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (other duties may be assigned)
  1. Fully concept and execute graphic design projects for internal and external communications that include but not be limted to:
    • TV, Radio/Audio,in-store digtial signage, digital advertising applications, video assets, animations, website design, marketing campaigns and PR initiatives, mobile, and social media, internal and external event deliverables.
  2. Work with in house stakeholders, other graphic designers and external vendors to develop possible creative solutions for a variety of communication projects and campaigns.
  3. Assist in the development of Brand design standards to ensure consistant portrayal of the Brand through various forms of media
  4. Contributes to strategic design discussions pertaining to brand positioning and marketing strategy
  5. Produce photography for design concepts. Tasks included but are not limited to:
    • Art direction, scouting and site selection, hiring and directing talent, sourcing props, wardrobe and makeup, lighting and sound design, editing.
  6. Execute all copy writing to ensure messaging on all channels aligns with established Sheetz brand design guidelines.
  7. Effectively plan and organize work through clients project management software and proactively seek answers needed to complete work.
  8. Interact with outside agency(s) as needed to ensure all in house design projects are in concert with established Sheetz brand design guidelines and quality standards.
  9. Explore emerging forms of advertising, digital media and social networking that may benefit the marketing effort and assist in testing, implementation and monitoring of new media
  10. Attend industry trade shows and acquire training to stay current with communication trends and technology.
  11. Establish and maintain a high quality collection of graphic design work that strengthens brand image and consistently reinforces brand identity

REQUIREMENTS: (Equivalent combinations of education, licenses, certifications and/or experience may be considered)

Education
  • Associates degree in Graphic Design or related field required
  • Bachelors degree in Graphic design or related field preferred
Experience
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a graphic design role required
  • Minimum of 1 year working knowledge of computer design software and hardware required.
  • Proficient knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite required
