The safety and well-being of our staff and customers is a top priority at Sheetz. We’ve taken many steps in our stores to reduce the spread of coronavirus (Covid-19) in every community in which we operate. We work closely with local health and government officials as well as the Centers for Disease Control (CDC). In addition, Sheetz has established a number of preventive measures, in accordance with CDC recommendations, for both our employees and customers.

Here are a few changes Sheetz has made in the stores during the Covid-19 Crisis.

Installed plexiglass at registers and MTO pick up areas:  Creates a physical barrier as an added precaution to keep our employees and customers safe.

Implemented social distancing in the store - six feet apart:  All non-vaccinated employees and customers must maintain social distancing of 6 feet when possible. We encourage this through the use of visible signage throughout the store.

Enhanced technology and encouraged online ordering:  Customers have been encouraged to use online ordering, curbside pickup, delivery and SHcan & Go to help limit person-to-person contact and cash transactions.

Required frequent hand washing:  Employees regularly and thoroughly clean their hands with an alcohol-based hand sanitizer or wash them with soap and water for 20 seconds. Sanitizer has been placed at all registers and near high-contact areas throughout the support buildings.

Implemented employee wellness checks and temperature screenings:  Manager on Duty conducts a wellness check with all employees prior to the start of their shift, and all employees must undergo a temperature screening.

Wearing facemasks:  All non-vaccinated Sheetz employees are required to wear facemasks while on the clock, adding an additional level of protection to prevent the spread of virus.

Tell employees to stay home if they are sick:  If an employee is not feeling well, they are instructed to stay home and get well before coming back in to the store.

What happens when we have an employee test positive for COVID-19: We follow the CDC guidelines. The positive employee is quarantined for 10 days and exposed employees are notified.
